HES Vision Statement:

The Vision of Henryetta Elementary School's Counseling Department is ensuring that students are given a nurturing, caring, and safe environment to learn. Students are provided with countless opportunities for success, growth and development through leadership, advocacy and collaborating. Our intent and goal is to allow students, no matter what the circumstances, to be able to thrive and grow emotionally, academically, and socially, preparing them for future success in out globally competitive world. We at Henreyetta Elementary School will all work together to advocate for all opportunities for growth to ensure the success of all of our students. 


HES Mission Statement:

Henryetta Elementary School's counseling program mission is to strive to promote equity and an exceptional program that is available to all students. Our program will provide students with the tools needed to succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Our mission is to empower and advocate for student growth and development to ensure that all students have the opportunity to become successful and outstanding members of society.


                               Domains of Development:

Academic: Student learning is supported through various strategies and interventions to ensure students are able to thrive and develop academically. 

Career: Students are provided with guidance regarding postsecondary education and careers and are supported with transition and planning to prepare them for the future.

Social/Emotional: Students are provided with tools, guidance and support to manage emotions, learn coping skills, and work through challenges while developing appropriate social skills needed to be successful. 
Confidentiality:


School counselors have an ethical obligation to maintain confidentiality. This means that communication between the student and counselor is to remain private. There are however, limits to confidentiality.

The limitations to confidentiality are as follows: 
​


* If the student shares that they are being hurt, or that others are being or will be hurt.

​* 
If the law is being broken or is going to be broken.
